    metro engine calculates optimal room rates for each plan with different accommodation types, room sizes, meal, cash back, other benefits.

    The optimal rates will be set against the existing plans. All kinds of accommodations including capsule hotels, hourly rate hotels, as well as guest houses located anywhere from Okinawa to Hokkaido will be covered.

    We were selected as a startup company aiming to create a new business model for the ecosystem comprised of travel industry and related industries that see business opportunities in inbound consumption.

    Responding to a formal request from IBM, Metro Engines’ representative Ryosuke Tanaka will talk about the innovative service utilizing AI with IBM’s Chief Developer Willie Tejada on 27 April and 28 April at the IBM Watson Summit 2017

    We exhibited jointly with IBM Japan at Slush Tokyo 2017 on March 29, 2017 and held a briefing session by our representative.

    Big data of all the domestic vacation rental facilities since 2014 which is held only by us (room rate, occupancy rate, operational status of each property for the coming half year, and about 250 data items for each property)

    More than 17 million review data (6,000 to 20,000 new reviews are posted every day) for accommodation facilities all over Japan

    "Room price per competitor's accommodation", "number of stocks", "number of reviews", "photos of rooms", "property information of houses" All these are the standards for guests to select accommodation facilities . Metro engine collects big data related to these "booking behaviors" every day, calculates room price by using artificial intelligence and machine learning processing. Revenue management that relied on historical data analysis had limitations, as the Chinese New Year, the sudden change of event schedule, the fluctuation of cherry blossoming conditions, etc., fluctuate daily from year to year.

  • Predict future accommodation market

    predict the future accommodation market including demand forecast of visitors to the country by utilizing big data / artificial intelligence

  • Cumbersome information input unnecessary

    In order to use the metro engine, complicated input work such as the address and the number of rooms is unnecessary. It is automatically entered from more than 35,000 facilities in Japan.
